Assists with all types of sampling and data collection in the field as well as in the laboratory related to plant growth and physiology. Assists with getting seeds ready for planting, helps with post-harvest activities like weighing, sub-sampling, grading, shipping samples for analysis etc. Lydia assists with soybean rust monitoring in the sentinel plots and updating the Pest Information Platform for Extension (PIPE) for soybean rust. She helps with preparing routine lab reagents, performing lab analysis, cleaning labware etc. Lydia also helps with data entry and data organization before getting it publication ready.
